Standing by the railing, absent mindfully squeezing the cold medal that was under her cold fingertips, she sighed. Just enough to give away the fact that she was thinking again but also, not loud enough that anyone could have herd her. Thoughts as of late had been of the past, a past that at times seemed lost or just way to far away to grasp. Her life had become complicated. Things that she were once so sure of now were not. Her long coat covered the fact that she had lost a fight, the cut occasionally stinging her when she moved her arm just right.
The loss of her latest fight still aggravated her. It wasn't the first time she had lost against this particular opponent, and she highly doughted that it would be the last either. He was rather strong, and unfortunately a rather pain in the butt to kill. Even if it wasn't necessarily her job to kill this particular person, she still decided that it would be better for her to do it rather then the person who actually should be doing it.
She actually couldn't quite say that it was a loss though shed mark it as one. In the fight she had at lest managed to land one hit, though her opponent had landed one on her too, then had fled. Forcing her to leave and give up the chase after searching for the man for a good few months.
So she had came back to the city, though why she still hadn't quite figured out yet. After all the enemy could easily find her there. But as of late she had became quite fond of her 'disappearing acts' as some liked to call it. Though they really were just assignments. But with all of them done for the time being she had to come back to the city, till she was needed yet again. And until that call comes, shed have to be content with being where she was. Not that she didn't love the city. It was just that there was so many memories and so many gaps in those memories that left her wanting and needing.
She could tell that there were people in the library, but at the moment she didn't feel like moving from her spot. The sun had already set, making her position on the balcony hard to spot from below or from behind her. Moving just a bit her back hit the cooling stone of the wall. 'Old habits die hard' she told her self as a smile crept on her face. Though it was short lived as the stern line all to quickly replaced the smile. 'One must always be on alert, even if they are hidden.'
